Cheddar Bay Biscuit Bread
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
Topping
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in shredded cheese, egg, milk and melted butter
- Spray a 9x5 bread pan with cooking spray and spread batter in pan evenly
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until center tests done and bread has browned a little on top
- A minute or so before bread is done mix together stuff for the topping
- Remove bread from oven and pour topping over bread while still hot. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing
